Tomas J. Romero Obituary (1952 - 2020)

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Tomas J. Romero was born on the 21st of August 1952 in Durango, Colorado to parents Daniel L. Romero and Josie M. Romero. Tomas graduated from his hometown High School in Durango, Colorado with the class of 1971. Tomas is a former United States Marine serving from 1972 to 1975, during which time he received the Purple Heart from wounds suffered in the Vietnam War. Upon completion of service Tomas then studied Business and Photography at Fort Lewis College. After many years of study he then moved to Austin, Texas where he managed multiple night clubs building relationships with friends that would last his lifetime. At home Tomas was a dedicated family man, whether it was sharing the property for parties, planning vacations to National Parks, or lending his time, wisdom, energy, feelings, and unlimited life lessons to be passed down for many generations. Tomas is preceded in death by his Father Daniel L. Romero, Mother Josie M. Romero, and Brother Daniel R. Romero. Surviving family members are his Brother Steve J. Romero and Sister Lola Lobato. Tomas leaves behind his beloved wife Alicia Sandoval and two roses Tomasina C. Romero and Blanca E. Sandoval. Tomas we thank you for the endless memories and the unforgettable laughs. We will never forget you and you will always be remembered for the amazing person you were. - Todo la familia.
