Raymond Rivera

Our beloved Raymond Christopher Rivera, age 49, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Chris is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved father, Ray Vicente Rivera; Grandparents, Albert and Amelia Rivera, Antonio and Adela Garcia; Godfather, Rudy Garcia; Aunt, Sylvia Garcia; Uncles Tony and Ruben Garcia.
He leaves behind a lifetime of love and cherished memories. Chris is survived by his wife of 32 years, Reina Mezquita; his children, Isabella Rivera, Angelica Rivera and her husband, Timothy Browning. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Luke and Cannon Browning. Along with his mother, Yolanda Rivera; siblings, Stephen Garcia, Ruben Rivera, Melissa Davila, Ray Rivera Jr, Jessica Nunez, Michelle Rivera, and Raquel Guerrero; niece, Kayla Rivera, as well as extended family members, aunts, cousins and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Chris's love, strength, and the memories he created with those closest to him will continue to live on through the family he cherished. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his love will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew him.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 1:00 pm CDT at Alice Taylor King Chapel in Austin, followed by a Funeral Mass at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:00 am CDT. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Friends and family are encouraged to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page to celebrate Chris's life.
