Ray Dell Clay, Jr. Obituary (1965 - 2019)

Ray Dell Clay Jr. was born in Portland, Oregon on March 5, 1965 to Ray Dell Clay Sr. and Ernestine Thompson. Ray accepted Christ at an early age. As a child he became a member of his family's group, "The Thompson Singers" and that's where his love for music began. He gained a love for guitars and collected them until his passing. Ray met the love of his life, Verda Lee Alexander, in early 1983 were they married January 01, 1984. During their 35 year union, they were blessed with Neshia Inell, Sharika Monae, Desirae Dionne, all of Austin, Texas. Ray was big at heart, a family man, dad, grandfather, brother, son, cousin, uncle, and friend. Ray leaves to cherish his memory his wife, daughters, four grandchildren, Jurnee Nicole, Michael Elijah, Khilyns Rae, and Dedrick Jr., mom, brother, Cardell Clay (Felicia), sister, Regina Burton (Robert), and a host of other family and friends. Preceding him in death are his father, his paternal and maternal grandparents, his uncles, Calvin Thompson Sr. and Sylvester Thompson Sr.
