Mary Lynn Ryan, affectionately known as Mary, stepped into eternity on September 22, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience. Born in Levelland, TX on May 17, 1952, Mary spent her life showering those around her with compassion, grace, and an unwavering loyalty that was both inspiring and comforting. Her life was a living testament to the Bible verse, 1 Corinthians 16:14, "Let all that you do be done in love."
Mary's professional career was a reflection of her selfless nature. As a Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist with Austin Recovery, she provided a steady hand and a listening ear to those grappling with addition. Her resilience was awe-inspiring; she faced life's challenges with quiet strength, never complaining, always enduring. After a fulfilling career, Mary retired in 2020 but her spirit of service continued to shine brightly. Her hobbies were as diverse and exciting as she was, from making candles to playing pool, playing card games, doing word searches/riddles and cooking. Mary was always immersed in activities. But here favorite pastime was socializing with family and friends. Her family was most important to her, and she loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary is survived by her children, Ervin Ryan Jr., Carla Dawn, Robert Ryan, Michael Ryan Sr. (Stephanie), and Rodney Ryan; her Siblings Carolyn Wagner, Billy Terrell, and Douglas Terrell. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Olen and Jimmie Faye Terrell; her brothers Olen and Timothy Terrrell; and her precious daughter Kimberly Ryan. She leaves behind 17 Grandchildren, and 3 Great grand children, and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.
As we remember Mary, we celebrate a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love and steadfast resilience. Her memory will forever serve as symbol of hope and strength for all who knew her. We invite those who knew Mary to share their memories and photos on her memorial page, offering a tribute to a life well-lived and a woman well-loved.
