Lynn Denise Brooks
Lynn Denise Brooks, lovingly known to so many as “Ponytail” & “Mama Lynn,” was born on June 15, 1958, and was raised in Austin, Texas,
Lynn lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She was a devoted woman of God who remained faithful throughout her journey. As a dedicated member of Solid Rock and Diakonos Church, she faithfully served on the usher board with grace, humility, and a joyful spirit. Her faith was not only something she spoke of, it was something she lived each day, shining through her kindness and the way she cared for others.
On May 24, 2026, Lynn was gently called home to be with the Lord. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, in no more pain, embraced in eternal love.
To all who knew her, she was simply “Mama Lynn”—a name that reflected her nurturing spirit and the way she cared for everyone as if they were her own. She had a heart big enough to hold anyone in need, and her love reached far beyond family ties. She was the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and truly understood.
Lynn had a special gift for listening without judgment and loving without condition. Whether through a warm hug, a heartfelt conversation, or a few encouraging words, she had a way of lifting spirits and bringing comfort in even the hardest moments.
A loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and neighbor. Lynn leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unwavering love. She touched countless lives in quiet but powerful ways, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.
