Lillie Mae (Grant) Wilkins Obituary (1941 - 2022)

Lillie Mae Wilkins was born on November 3, 1941, in Austin, Texas to Oscar and Evelyn Grant. Lillie united with Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. S. A. Davis. She attended Austin Public Schools; Lillie was the director for Little Darlings Daycare and enjoyed teaching and caring for children for over 56 years. Lillie married and four kids were born Michael, Darlene, Shelia, and Jeffery. Lillie was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Wright, sister Erma Bullard, brother Donnie Manor and longtime partner Richard Purcell. Lillie was called home to rest November 13, 2022. Left to cherish her memories, Lillie is survived by sisters Helen Smith, Dorothy McBride, Stella James and Mary Dimbo and brother Arthur Manor, nieces, nephews, and a host if relatives and friends.
