Howard Keith Hawkins

–

Kyle, Texas

With profound sorrow, we announce the transition of a cherished brother, father, uncle, and friend, Howard Keith Hawkins, fondly known as Hawk,Uncle or we call him Keithy. A spirited soul with a heart abounding in mirth and love, Howard was born on October 29, 1965, in Austin, Texas. His journey on Earth concluded on July 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a life well lived.

Howard was a man of many talents, his jovial spirit and infectious humor being the most noticeable of them all. He was a star football player at LC Anderson High School, his prowess on the field earning him a place at Blinn Jr College in Brenum, Texas, where he studied Business Management. His love for sports was only rivaled by his passion for entrepreneurship. After gaining valuable experience working for his dear friend Danny at Danny's Tire Service, Howard launched his own successful venture, Howard's Tire Service, where he served his community as The Tire Man until his illness caused him to hang up his hat for good. When he was not busy with his tire service business, Howard could be found fishing, playing dominos, or spending quality time with his family and friends. His radiant smile and funny anecdotes brought joy to everyone around him, making him the life of any gathering.

Howard's love for God was as deep as the ocean and as vast as the sky. He was a proud member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, under Pastor A.W. Anthony Mays. His faith was the guiding light in his journey, a beacon that illuminated his path and warmed the hearts of all who crossed it. As it is written in the Bible, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18. Howard's faith was a testament to this, his love for God and his fellow beings a shining example for all of us.

Howard is lovingly remembered by his mother, Rosie Hawkins; his sisters, Johnnie Renee’ Hawkins , Latricia Hawkins Johnson and bother in law Alfonzo Johnson; his children, Kisa Taylor, Dajoun Hawkins, , Atiana Lemuel, Ravin Franklin and Chance Hawkins; His “Three Bad Nieces” as he called them every time he scored 15 at the domino table; his 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces; 3 Aunts and cousins. He now joins his father, Johnny Howard Hawkins JR, in heavenly peace.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mt Sinai Baptist Church 8500 Cameron Rd Austin, TX 78754 on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM.

To celebrate Howard's life, we encourage you to leave your memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page. These stories and pictures will serve as a testament to Howard's spirited life, his loving nature, and the indelible mark he left on all our hearts.
