Gwendolyn Williams-Grant Obituary (1954

Gwendolyn was born on July 14 th , 1954 in Newark, NJ to Willie Williams (Father) and Rosa Lee Spann (Mother). She graduated from John Ford H.S. in 1970 and later from Pace University with an associate's degree in Business Management. She married Richard D. Williams in St. Matthews, SC, her high school sweetheart in 1970. After moving to Brooklyn, NY, Gwen began working for the New York City Federal Reserve. The couple welcomed one child into their lives and Gwen was a loving, caring and nurturing mother who gave her all to ensure her son never knew a day without "love". Later, Gwen was remarried to Kenneth R. Grant of Austin, TX. Gwen also worked at "CBS Austin", a radio station in Austin, TX. Gwen was a social butterfly who loved everyone and all who came in contact with her would testify the same. Mrs. Gwendolyn "Gwen" Williams-Grant died peacefully in Prince William Medical Center on February, 19 th , 2021 in Manassas, Virginia at the age of 66. She is preceded in death by Denise Williams (Sister), Willie Spann "Billy" Williams Jr. (Brother), Robin Reese (Sister), William Ross Williams (Grandson). Gwendolyn is survived by Rosa Lee Williams (Mother); Richard D. Williams Jr. (Son), Kenneth R. Grant (Step-son), Jasmine Patrice Grant (Step-daughter), Corey Donnell Davis-Grant (Step-son), Tiffany Nikol Grant (Step-daughter), Albert Alton Grant III (Step-son), (Richard D. Williams (Grandson), Eriq Trevon Williams (Grandson), Janai Lenora Williams (Granddaughter, Iset Sky Williams (Granddaughter), Ivy Gray Williams (Granddaughter); Lita Howell (Sister), Crystal King (Sister), Carlena Gourdine (Sister). A memorial is scheduled for 2pm, March 13th , 2021 at King Tears Funeral Home (Austin, TX).
