G.L. Lockhart Obituary (1935 - 2023)

G.L. Lockhart was born in Cooper, Texas on December 2, 1935 to his parents Mabel Elizabeth Battle and Gertrude Lockhart. He was the fourth child of eight children: Ethelma, Albert, Henry Ray, James, Betty, Charles, and Carl. G.L. followed in his father's footsteps and graduated from Carpenters Local 1266. His son Johnny Ray also graduated from Carpenters Local 1266. His love for the construction industry led him to establishing his own company in 1986, Lockhart's Construction and Remodeling, which he owned and operated for over 37 years. The three main things G.L. loved were The Lord, The Church, and his Family. He was baptized October 24, 1977, and received into the Alpha Seventh Day Adventist Church of the Southwest Region. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and uncle. He walked with integrity and lived life abundantly. G.L. was preceded in death by both parents, siblings, his wife Dollie Lockhart, and two sons Carl Wayne Lockhart and Tony Earl Lockhart. He leaves fond memories behind for his family: Johnny Ray Lockhart (Rose), Larry Lockhart, Darrell Lockhart, Jonathan Lockhart (Diedra), Cheryl Moore (Eddie Moore), a host of relatives, and many friends. The Lockhart family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who offered their prayers and acts of kindness during this bereavement.
