Austin, Texas
Dionne Rochelle Blackmon, a compassionate and loving soul, was born on July 11, 1969, in Austin, Texas, the city she loved and called home throughout her life. Dionne was a vibrant and loyal friend, a generous giver, and a beacon of love who touched the lives of many. The wellspring of her joy was her family and friends, and she cherished nothing more than to spend time with them. She was an excellent cook who found joy in preparing meals for her loved ones. Her passion for music was infectious, and it was not uncommon to find Dionne humming her favorite tune.
Dionne was a fiercely loyal and devoted mother to Porche Daniels, Whitley Antoinette, and Toni Ceasar. She was a proud grandmother to 3 grandson’s Jayden Ceasar, Julius Ceasar and Mason Ceasar. She had an unwavering commitment to their well-being and happiness, which was evident in her every action. Her love for them was endless and her pride in their accomplishments was immense. Dionne was the beloved daughter of Irvin Brown and the late Cynthia Amula. Despite her mother's passing, Dionne kept her memory alive through stories, shared memories, and the lessons she passed on to her own children. Every aspect of Dionne's life was influenced by her mother's love, strength, and wisdom. As Elizabeth Edwards stated, "She stood in the storm, and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails." Dionne sailed through life with grace, resilience, and an unwavering love for those she held dear. Dionne was loved and respected by many friends she called family including her significant other Calvin Gurley.
