Dequintashon Mosley

–

Austin, Texas

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dequintashon Artaviusshartay Mosley, affectionately known to many as "Bunka" or "Dee Dee". Born on January 12, 1993 in Austin, Texas, Dequintashon had a knack for filling rooms with laughter and joy. A talented and creative soul, Bunka had the unique ability to transform ordinary days into unforgettable memories. As Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun," and Dequintashon embodied this sentiment every day of his life.

Dequintashon's humility was as captivating as his sense of humor. Despite his innate talent for bringing smiles to those around him, Bunka remained modest and grounded. He channeled his artistry into tattooing, creating unique pieces that reflected his creativity and passion. He also found solace in the peaceful pastime of fishing, often spending hours by the river, casting his line into the water. Dequintashon's spirit and zest for life were contagious, and he was a beacon of light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dequintashon was a cherished son, beloved brother, and adored grandson. He is survived by his loving family: his father, Claude Mosley, his mother, Quandala Davis, his sister, Withiea Mckeejones, and his grandmother, Jaunis Jones. They will forever remember him for his funny nature, his humble heart, and the love he had for his family, which mattered most to him.

A public visitation will be held for Dequintashon on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00amCDT at the Serenity Primitive Baptist Church, located at 6304 Wilcab Road, Austin, Texas, 78719. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:00amCDT.

Dequintashon's life was a testament to the power of laughter, creativity, and love. His memory will continue to inspire and motivate us all. We invite those who knew Dequintashon to share their memories and upload photos to the memorial page. These shared moments can serve as a collective celebration of a life well-lived and a light that will never be extinguished.
