Christine Taylor Terrell

–

Round Rock, Texas

Christine Taylor Terrell, lovingly known as "Sissy Baby," was truly a beacon of light, who illuminated the lives of all who knew her with her charismatic personality and spirited approach to life. Born on March 1, 1929, in Smithville, Texas, Christine spent her 97 vibrant years living a life marked by courage, dedication, and an undying love for her family and faith. Her radiant spirit, which was as warm and inviting as the delicious meals she loved to cook, will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know her.

Christine was a devoted member of the Baptist faith, and her religious convictions were a cornerstone of her life. Her dedication to serving her local congregation, the Olivet Baptist Church, was a testament to her unwavering faith. The verse from the Book of Proverbs, chapter 31 verse 25, truly encapsulates Christine's life: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." This was the essence of Christine - a woman of strength, who faced every challenge with courage and left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Christine is survived by her niece, Nicole Galbert, the Taylor Family and the Terrell Family who will continue to carry her legacy forward. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R.A. Terrell, her parents, Eugene Taylor and Serella Maynard-Jackson, and her siblings, Delvada Taylor-Rivers, Annie Mae Taylor, Pearline Taylor-Terrell, and James Taylor. The family invites all who were touched by Christine's unforgettable spirit to join them in celebrating her life on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00am for visitation and 12:00pm for a celebration of life at the Olivet Baptist Church, located at 1179 San Bernard Street, Austin, Texas, 78702. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 14501 North Interstate Highway 35, Pflugerville, Texas, 78660.

We encourage everyone to share their favorite memories of Christine and upload photos to the memorial page, where we can collectively remember and celebrate the extraordinary life of this remarkable woman. Her spirit lives on in each story shared, every photo viewed, and in every heart she touched.
