Andrew Ray “Andy” Lutringer
January 2, 1961 – October 22, 2026
Andrew Ray “Andy” Lutringer, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home on October 22, 2026.
Born on January 2, 1961, Andy was the youngest of six siblings and quite possibly the most adventurous of them all. From an early age, he embraced life with a fun-loving spirit, a sense of adventure, and a love for family that remained with him throughout his life.
After graduating from Southwest Texas State University, Andy began his career with the State of Texas Commission on Water and Environmental Quality (TCEQ). His work took him across the great state of Texas, and whenever the opportunity arose, he made time to visit family along the way. No matter where life took him, family was always close to his heart.
Andy was always ready for a game, an adventure, or simply a good time. He was the fun-loving little brother and uncle who was just as much a kid at heart as the children around him. Whether canoeing on a lake, running along the beach, playing volleyball or softball, or enjoying a football game, Andy knew how to make the most of every moment. He had a special way of bringing laughter and a smile wherever he went.
He loved his dogs, who were often his traveling companions, and he made a point to show up for the people he loved, especially when it mattered most. His family knew they could count on Andy to be there, often with a smile, a playful spirit, and a willingness to join in whatever adventure awaited.
In 2004, Andy's life was blessed with one of his greatest joys when he became a father to his son, Joshua Lutringer. Being a dad brought him tremendous pride and happiness. He looked forward to sharing his love of life, adventure, and the outdoors with Joshua and creating memories together.
After retiring from the State of Texas, Andy continued to take great pride in his family. He especially enjoyed keeping up with the younger generations, cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments, even when he couldn't be there in person.
Andy will be remembered for his adventurous heart, his playful personality, his love of the outdoors, friends and, above all, his deep love for his son, Joshua, and family. He was a little brother, an uncle, a father, and a friend who reminded those around him that life was meant to be enjoyed.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew W. and Rosalie Scotka Lutringer; his brother, Clay David Lutringer; his brothers and sisters-in-laws, Bruce Clark and Lana Jean Lutringer, and Mark Logan and Mary Kay Lutringer; and his nephew and niece, Keaton and Lillie Lutringer.
He is survived by his beloved son, Joshua Blake; wife Michelle, stepsons Chris and Ray along with very special friend Latresa Stroud, his brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel Wayne and Vera Lutringer; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Donald W. Riley; and numerous nieces including the original six-Kate, Stacy, Tracy, Jenny, Amanda, and Stephanie who loved and knew him as their Uncle Andy, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews all who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.
Though Andy's earthly adventures have come to an end, the laughter, love, and memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched. His quiet adventurous spirit will never be forgotten.
A funeral mass will be held on………..at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, New Tatiton, Texas followed by grave side service at St. John Roman Catholic Cemetery.
